Audi is seriously putting effort into becoming the top selling premium brand in the world in the next few years. A part of their plan is to simply expand their model range to take a percentage of the sales that are annually anticipated in each segment and niche market.
Audi is currently build models for the Coupe SUV market. Currently only the BMW X6 and the Acura ZDX currently compete in that segment with more competition expected from Mercedes Benz and Infiniti in the near future. However the first coupe SUV that will presented by Audi will be the Q6 that will be competing in the midsize segment with the other models in the full size segment.
The Q6 is a model that slots in between the Q5 and Q7 in size. The Q6 will share platform, engine, transmission and features with the Q5. Their is expected to be more hybrid engines and possible full electric models available.
The model is due in 2014/2015. This model will do well as the price expected to be close to the Audi Q5 and the Audi Q5 is currently the best selling premium vehicle in Jamaica.
